What roasters do you work with in Santa Cruz and specifically what beans/blends do you recommend at each location (and also what not to purchase). Price/pound?
Needing recommendations for espresso and brewed coffee.
I highly suggest you contact Andy Newbom from Barefoot Coffee Roasters in Santa Clara. (408) 248-4500. He isn't in Santa Cruz, but does wholesale coffee sales in addition to having a really top notch coffee shop. I'm sure he can provide some good recommendations not only on beans and blends, but maybe equipment as well.
No I don't work for him, but I do respect his opinions on coffee.
Rawman the Expobarbarian.. AKA the Original Jon R.
Verve Coffee Roasters. 41st and Portola. They can set you up with blends, single origins, and equipment. I am sure they will help set you up and train you (if you need it). They are awesome guys and really know there stuff.
What machine do you have? What grinder? What type of establishment, and what volume of use are you planning for?
