The Piccino web site shows Brian next to a GB/5. Piccino uses Blue Bottle coffee.
First time I met Brian was in February 2006 when I took these pics showing Brian pulling great shots with Zoka Paladino and pouring latte art in my all time favorite coffee house. Where else are four different espressos available at the same time on the bar. Organica now closed unfortunately. Those were the good old days.

The GB/5 is visible through the window. I had a Piccino double ristretto. Barista told me it was very similar to Blue Bottle Hayes Valley, just one coffee in the blend was different. The ristretto had low body, was too acidic, but had some interesting complexity. Pretty decent but disappointing.

I had this really nice tasty latte. Nice shaped cup. Sitting outside, the chill in the air complemented drinking this superb steamed hot latte very well and made for just the perfect moment. That was a real nice experience.
