After a loong wait, Verve Coffe Roasters has now been open for nearly two weeks....in Capitola at 816 41st. This is another serious upgrade to the Santa Cruz coffee scene. Great espresso - Streetlevel,  a very nice cafe and seperate roasting facility. Super friendly, very knowledable and experienced coffee geeks. Drop by, check out the great espresso and say hi to Jared, Sean, Ryan and Cody

I think the first local shop I worked at was right down the street, Coffeetopia on Portola. It's been 6 years since then, so I can't wait to get back and see/taste/soak in any changes in the coffee scene!

Five bean Streetlevel blend is used to pull ristrettos at Verve Coffee Roasters. Very nice with fruit and chocolate taste.

Naked espresso pour. Maybe someone can explain what makes the crema so dark. Real nice tasting shot.

Keep those espressos coming. Very nice shots with lots of body, fruit, chocolate and a very nice after-taste.
