I will have to check out Subrosa, I tend to get over the Remedy once or twice a month and its in that area. Although I must admit if the stores are still open that I saw on street view next to Subrosa it seems to be a bit of a hipster perfect storm between the coffee shop, bike shop and record store all next to each other.

Hipster for sure. There's another place I found. Monkey Forest Road on Grand. http://www.monkeyforestroad.com/ It's a retail art store (lot's of cool stuff I can't afford) as well as a coffee bar. They use Verve coffee and I think I remember them using a Synesso. The owner was also bottling his own iced coffee. I tried one and it was pretty good. I tasted some of the nuances telling me that it was Specialty coffee but it also seemed that some of the nuances must of been lost. Also there was a hint of undesired bitterness. I could not tell if it was from the process of hot brewing and then rapidly cooling which he used or if Verve's house blend just he uses happened to have a hint of bitterness to it.
