Our travels today led us to this new place in Santa Monica called the Refinery. They serve ritual coffee from SF. They are really new and the barista was really nice, friendly, knew her coffees. Now, we had coffee, not espresso, so cannot judge that, but she did good with the pour over she made for us.
The place is wide open, and has very calm vibes.
If you're out that way you should stop by and give them a try.
