You can schedule cuppings and tours at Press Coffee in Phoenix. I haven't had their coffee, but have seen their name on Twitter, etc. They even hosted a weekend coffee educational event last year that I would have attended if I'd been local.
Make sure to let us know how your visit went if you go.

Thanks guys, it looks like Cartel is an obvious and I will look into Press coffee. I appreciate it. About 13-15 years ago I made a similar post when I was going to Chicago with my family and that's how I found Intelligentsia coffee, so I am grateful for any suggestions.

Cartel is the best coffee in Phoenix, they have an old town scottsdale (where all the bars and restaurants are) they also have the original in Tempe, one downtown Phoenix with limited hours
I personally like the Old Town Scottsdale location the best, that one and the Tempe are both open late, the Scottsdale one you can grab a craft beer there as well if you like
