I hear Verve has the new Steampunk siphon machine right now.  Has anyone tried it?  Thinking of going in this weekend if I can get confirmation.  Siphon might be my favorite brewing method (after espresso) so I am very interested to see how well this machine duplicates this.

Unfortunately the Steampunk is down for a couple of weeks.  Maybe next time I get to Santa Cruz.

I finally got a chance to try out the Steampunk.  Very good coffee.  Something I didn't expect was the thick viscosity of the coffee.  I think the machine sort of emulsifies the brew.  Good stuff.

Unfourtunately the Steampunk has been remove from Verve.  The Barista I spoke with said that it had alot of problems and it took to long to fix.
