I came across a new roaster/ coffee bar in Monterey.  I found them online and haven't been to the shop yet.  I can't find anything about their roasting philosophy but it looks promising.  Has anyone been that can comment?

No comment but they can sure use it. I was really surprised when I was in Monterey a few months ago the overall crappy choices of coffee.

Can't wait to see what people say about them. Website is very simple and says hardly anything at all.

The world needs more outstanding coffee.

It is amazing how behind Monterey is in coffee. I agree on the website. It doesn't tell you mouch at all about the coffee. I read everything on it, on their Facebook page, and on Yelp but I still haven't figured out if it's our kind of place. Once I go I'll post about it.

I heard from Bright Coffee that one of the members here stopped in to try it out.  I've spoken with bright through Facebook and although I haven't made it in yet it seems even more promising after speaking with them.  If whoever stopped by could post about your impressions I would appreciate it.

Well I was finally able to visit bright yesterday.  I met Cameron (Owner) and was able to figure out where she is on her roasting/ brewing.  Long story short, Monterey finally has a place that I can get coffee at!  All I had was an espresso and it was good.  It was pulled a little long (not ristretto).  I asked her about this and she agreed.  Anyway, she right on target with roasting.  Everything is fresh and nothing is over-roasted.  She also updated her website with an about page so its now worth a read if your thinking of visiting.  Here is the link click here  If you visit, post your thoughts.  Also, she has a nice lever machine (spring).
