Who: uhhh.... you and us and a whole pile of roasters and green coffee.
What: OK so the plan is to have all of you crazy home roasters who want to bring in your home roasting unit and your favorite green coffee and a sample of the same coffee already roasted. We will meet by our beautiful Probat L12 roaster.
Since everyone will have their home roasters and green coffee samples we can have a roast off. Where we can all roast some great coffee and talk about technique, the different machines etc. Then since you will bring a sample of your current fav coffee already roasted we can brew some magic cups and all drink till we explode.
We will be roasting that day so myself and Chris our roast master will be doing some roasting demos and lessons.
We will also allow everyone to buy any amount of our green coffee and roast that as well. We basically sell our green coffee for half the price of roasted and in any amount you want, even 4 ounces.
So what we need is an RSVP from you here if you are for sure coming and whether you will be just watching or bringing your roaster too.
ALL are welcome including all of you who are just looking at home roasting. So spread the news and invite your other coffee freaks, cause we are gonna roast!!

Hi Andy,
I want to come. I will bring my roaster. I have a Z&D with a variable transformer to control it, an HWP for a bean cooler, my thermocouple meter, and my old darkroom timer. Will you be able to allocate space for all this stuff?

I would really like to attend this, but it will be a busy weekend. My brother should be flying in Friday night about 11pm (although he hasn't bought his tix yet, the booger). He may be interested in attending this. I may also see if I can gather up a local or two.
Planning a BBQ party for later in the day, but this should be early enough...I should know more closer to the time.

Just wanted to say that I stopped in at Barefoot today. Very nice shop! Lots of tables, comfy couches and computer terminals. I especially liked the outdoor seating (is it cigar friendly?).
The pretty ladies working the bar served me up a nice mid day espresso latte and I got to enjoy it while I checked out the shop. I won't pretend I am enough of an espresso expert to review the drink, but I enjoyed it very much and that is really all that counts, right!? :)
Now I know exactly where the shop is, I hope to stop in a bit more.
I am 80% sure to be there on the 28th with a popper or two and the rest of my gear!

Well gosh, looks like the 20% won out for me and I won't be there. :(
My brother had to change his flight and will be arriving at SJC at 11:03am on the 28th. If I wasn't so happy to see him I would be very pissed at him! LOL
