Author Biography Paul’s first job after leaving university (BA Economics) was in a coffee bar in Hong Kong, a trip 8 years ago that was “only meant to be for a few months”. After moving from Barista to Financial Controller of the coffee chain, the seeds of entrepreneurial spirit were sown. In 1997 with a colleague Just Java Coffee was born. By 2000 there were 3 Just Java stores in Hong Kong, and by Jan 2002 there were none – the stores were sold to finance (and free up some time) for a full blown wholesale business.
Just Java Coffee Roasters began in January 2003 and the company is finally getting the attention of the Hong Kong public. Since 1998 Just Java have been the agents in HK for La Marzocco and since 2000 the agents for Astoria.
