I'm blessed by the fact that I've been able to test almost every major consumer roaster to have come out in the last four years, and the Caffe Rosto CR-120 roaster is the most recent machine I've had a chance to check out.
The roaster has been on the market for a while now, but is recently getting a bigger push since the demise of its main competitor roaster: the Hearthware Precision.
The Caffe Rosto promises to roast a higher volume of beans than the now defunct Hearthware models, and features a low-cyclonic air roasting method. I've been hearing a lot of things about this roaster, now it's my chance to really put it to the test.
As always, I'd like to remind you this is a First Look, not a Detailed Review. This document is based on a scant week's worth of testing. At CoffeeGeek, we feel a product must get several months of testing before we post a definitive review of a product, but we also feel its important to give you this first look, so you get a sense of what the product is about.
