TORONTO, March 17 - Sears Canada has been advised by one of its manufacturers of a potential hazard relating to the Krups Orchestro Espresso Maker. It has been discovered that electrical connectors in the espresso machine may erode, posing a fire hazard. The Krups Orchestro Espresso Maker, available in black and stainless steel, was sold at Sears Canada retail stores between September 2002 and February 2006 for $1,199.99. The affected model number is 889-45, and can be found on a silver sticker located on the bottom of the machine. The Sears item number found on your receipt of sale is 80580. There have been no reported incidents or injuries. Customers who have the affected Krups Orchestro Espresso Maker should stop use immediately and contact Group Seb (Krups Canada) at the toll-free number 1-800-418-3325 Monday to Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET for information on how to arrange for a free product pick-up and repair. Sears Canada will be posting signs in all of its retail stores to advise customers of this safety notice. Sears Canada is bringing this matter to the public's attention in the interest of consumer safety and apologizes for any inconvenience.
