Canadian Regional Barista Competition- Toronto 2006 Results
The CNBC sanctioned 2006 Canadian Regional Barista Competition in Toronto was held on June 2, 2006 at the Gladstone Hotel! Baristi from around Central Canada participated in this annual regional barista event.  |  | Barista setting up his station. | | Prizes included a prize from KRUPS for each barista, Championship Plaque, a beautiful engraved tamper from Reg Barber. Runner Up received a beautiful plaque and a Reg Barber tamper. Third place was awarded a plaque and a Reg Barber engraved tamper. Fourth through Sixth each received beautiful finalist plaques with engraved Reg Barber tampers.

Rules & Regulations, WBC Barista Guidelines, and the 2006 Tea & Coffee World Cup Barista Championship Rules. Sherri Johns, WBC Judge/CNBC Head Judge and event coordinator, held a CNBC & Regional Judges Training/Certification Workshop prior to the Regional Barista Competition. Our gratitude also goes to Les Kuan (CNBC Technical Standards Representative) for his expertise and professionalism. And of course our congratulations to all the participating barista who will continue to shape Canada’s Specialty Coffee future!

- Kate Fraser from Rounded Square Events, Toronto, ON with a score of 696.5
