The Canadian Coffee & Tea Show Returns to Toronto September 16-17th, 2007




Monday, April 23, 2007 (Toronto) – Formerly known as the Coffee & Tea Expo, the Canadian Coffee & Tea Show is returning to the Toronto Congress Centre September 16-17, 2007 under new ownership and with a new vision. Offering creative workshops, educational seminars and a trade show that presents the latest innovations, the Coffee & Tea Show is the place to be for anyone involved in the food and beverage industry.

As large coffee shops spring up all over the nation, Canadian’s love for coffee and tea cannot be denied. Canadians consume more than 15 billion cups of coffee per year, while 90 percent of Canadians drink tea, consuming 7 billion cups per year.  Eighty-one percent drink coffee occasionally and over 63 percent of Canadians over the age of 18 drink coffee on a daily basis, making coffee the number one beverage choice of adult Canadians.

Both Sunday and Monday morning, the Coffee & Tea Show will present seminars and workshops, followed by the opening of the trade show floor from 12-6pm on Sunday and 12-5pm on Monday. The Canadian National Barista Championship will be held from 12-5pm each day, with the Great Canadian Tea Steep-Off 2-5pm on Day 1, followed by an industry networking event.

The Canadian Coffee & Tea Show is owned and managed by Fulcrum Events Inc. and is sponsored by leaders in the industry including Sara Lee, Krups, Parmalat, Barry Callebaut, General Mills, Nuova Simonelli and other leading suppliers.

Located in Toronto, Fulcrum Events Inc. produces a variety of educational forums and trade shows, including Convenience U and CARWACS. Fulcrum Events is the sister company of Fulcrum Publications Inc., publishers of Your Foodservice Manager (YFM) magazine, Your Convenience Manager (YCM) magazine and other leading trade publications.
