The Canadian Coffee & Tea Expo 2005 will host the 3rd Annual  2005 Canadian National Barista Championship in Toronto, Canada!  The  Barista Championship will be at the Holiday Inn on King on Monday, June 13th through Tuesday, June 14th.

We would like to invite you to this event and witness what baristi can do to highlight the coffee and espresso around Canada. This event brings awareness to great espresso and great baristi all in one place!

Participating Baristi (an espresso bartender or someone who expertly prepares espresso coffees) from the far reaches of the Canadian countryside will compete in this two-day barista championship. Sammy Piccolo from Caffe Artigiano in Vancouver, BC and CNBC’s 2003/2004 Barista Champion will attempt to triple his winning performance from last year’s competition!

The energy level is bound to be high when baristi from cafes around the Great White North will vie for prizes, awards and a chance to compete with the world’s best at the 2006 World Barista Championship in Bern, Switzerland!  This great event is made possible by the Canadian Coffee & Tea Expo 2005 in Toronto, Krups, La Marzocco Espresso Machines, Kerry Foodservice, Oscar’s Syrups, Reg Barber Tampers, Natrel and WholeCup Coffee Consulting.  This event is also endorsed by the World Barista Championship and the Coffee Café Association of Canada.
