Positive Product Points

Solid as a rock, it is compact, solid, well-made and does the one thing it is designed to do. It allows consitent pressure to the coffee puck when you are preparing to pull your shots.

Negative Product Points

This a product that eliminates quality control concerns.  I believe it couldn't be better made.

Detailed Commentary

Tired of wondering if you are actually getting a 30lb presure??  With the Macap you don't have to worry about it.  You just put the portafilter on the stand, pull/pivot the handle down on the right side, and is provides smooth even pressure.   It comes with both a 51mmm and 57mm tamper, both lathe spun solid aluminum.  It allows for expirimentation on wt, temps and length of pull with the tamping pressure consistent.

I have used with both my stock Rancilio Silvia Portafilter, and my crotchless La Marzocco 3 shot filter, and it works flawlessly.

Buying Experience

Purchased it from 1st Line, and had product in my hands in 2 days.  Unbelievably protective packing cradles the tamper in transit.
