Positive Product Points

Everything: capacity, low noise, smoke suppression system, quality build, easy to use

Negative Product Points

Not a full 1lb roaster for darker roasts

Detailed Commentary

I love this roaster! I was roasting up to 3 times a week with my iRoast2, dealing with the noise, venting and smoke issues. Now I'm roasting once a week with a true drum roaster, with little noise or smoke. My roasting consistency is vastly improved as are my shots. Not being a true 1lb roaster for roasts going into the second crack is not that big a deal as a 12oz roast will get me through the week. I use the P1 program for my espresso blends and am looking forward to the other profiles as I get more used to the machine. I go about 10 seconds into the second crack and do notice some smoke, but keeping it near an open window deals with this issue. Everything seems very well put together and I am confident this machine will last for quite a while.

Buying Experience

I bought it refurbished from Chocolate Alchemy. Apparently they do the warranty work on the roasters. Smooth online transaction and I got a machine which, in my opinion, is just as good as new for 100 bucks less.
