Works as it supposed.It roasts coffee.Negatives against not doing a dark roast are unfounded.If getting a full rolling 2nd crack isnt dark roast ,then what is.Roast just doesnt shine as oily beans,probably due to way it heats.Very good price.Fuller taste then air roast.not being able to see beans 100% clear can be fixed by cutting small opening in screen.But since this roaster is so quiet it makes the visibilty meaningless.If roasting in front of window this will hinder visibility,otherwise even with setup as it is visibility is quite well.This is the roaster i waited 10 yrs for.Have used a unimax,not bad but didnt stand test of time at all and only did 8 oz's at a time.Popcorn poppers been there done that,good ridence.Being able to roast many oz's at once is a revelation.smoke suppression works good.Face it if you roast coffee there will be smoke.But compared to other roasters the suppresion of smoke on this is quite nice and functions as it should,as compared to other roasters where you do 1 or 2 ,or 4 or 5 oz's and you damn near need to call the fire dept,i'd say the afterburner on the Behmor works as adverised.Any other negs on this roaster is merely nitpicking.
