On/off switch is right where my thumb rests when I pick it up to fill with water. Easy to "ride" the switch, which can shorten its life.
Detailed Commentary
I've had this kettle for more than five years and it's a very good functional machine. It gets used several times a day to heat water for tea. Easy to use, boils water quickly. Solid housing. Also easy to clean.
I have been tempted to get a stainless steel one, but the white is much easier keep clean and fingerprint free. The only problem (for me) is the on/off switch is right where my thumb rests when I pick it up to fill with water. In the last year or so the switch has become a bit sensitive. Sometimes it turns off right after I turn it on.........but it make a clicking sound, so I just turn it back on again. Overall I love this thing and when it finally dies will get something similar.
Buying Experience
Bought this from Sears before they merged with Kmart. I only went there because I had a gift certificate for Sears and I needed an electric kettle.
