Bottom Line: The Caffe' Rosto is a good solid unit that is easy to use.  Glad I bought it.
Positive Product Points

This roaster is my first and seems to work well with an 8 ounce quantity of beans.  For a first time roaster, this unit is easy and works well.

Negative Product Points

It is ugly.  There is no way this could be described as attractive.  But then again it is a kitchen appliance and not a work of art.  It is not intended to be hung on the wall.  It is also loud.

Detailed Commentary

The Caffe' Rosto is a good unit for a first time roaster.  It seems to roast consistently and without burning the bean.  I have been roasting the cup quantity provided that is 8 ounces.  Probably much better with 4 to 6 ounces.  While I have owned it a short time I am satisfied with this unit and would buy another.  The unit is unattractive but then again so is a frying pan full of grease but both work well.  This unit is also loud.  To talk to someone else you have to raise your voice to be heard.  The roast is fun to watch, moves the beans without problem and the smell is great.  If you are new to roasting as I am, then this is a good unit to start with.  My first roast was perfect and each following roast was just as good.

Buying Experience

WWW.SWEETMARIAS.COM is great.  Ordered it, a grinder and beans.  The package arrived quickly and compleatly.  Great site for roasting supplies.

Three Month Followup

I am still very pleased with this unit.  Using the cup that was provided with the unit to measure green coffee was ok but using 3/4 of a cup of green coffee worked better and had much better results.  The unit is easy to clean and works very well.  I would buy another one.  This is the first roaster I have owned.
