Detailed Commentary
The one area where the Nissan (that I've have for 10+ years) excells over the oxo is that it has a rubber band around the middle that helps to keep it between the legs without sliding while driving. However, this rubber band and the base rubber cap are my biggest beefs with the Nissan cup - they come loose. I purchased the oxo specifically for this reason. No parts to work loose (hopefully). In the next iteration of design for oxo would be to add some none slip texturing into the steel. But so far that's the only flaw. Heat retention, mechanicals, cup holder fitting, cleanability, style, feel and price are all most excellent! I hope it lasts as long as my Nissans.
