Detailed Commentary
I'd tried for a while to get hold of some illy logo cups, so when I chanced on these unexpectedly it was quite a thrill. The rest of our holiday in Belgium was spent watching the hours till I could get home and try them out!
These cups are truly wonderful. I only have two, and it's always a small disappointment when I have to pull a shot into a lesser demitasse. The cups somehow just feel right in the hand, beautifully balanced and matched with excellent saucers, with a high bowl so you can put a biscotti next to your cup without it falling in the middle all the time. I treat the cups with care, but they seem very durable, the dishwasher is no problem and I've had no problem with chips.
