could have better graphic designs as imprints (that's the main reason why I give 9 and 8 points to aesthetics and quality of product, otherwise both would be 10)

Detailed Commentary

Asa Selection is a German design company (especially producing porcelains) founded 30 years ago in Germany. Asa Selection cups imported (to Turkey) by Turkish company Esse.

These are fairly thick cups, a little larger than classic espresso cup size (100ml), great for doppio. Their unique elliptic handle design provides a good grip both on cappuccino and espresso cups which turns coffee drinking to a pleasure. These cups made of high quality porcelain and the workmanship is very clean (not a single trace or dent etc). Unfortunately I can't say the same thing for graphic designs. Though cups have good quality imprints, when you see these cups and their design you expect some nice graphic covers on them, instead what you get is either a single coffee bean picture or a praline-chocolate picture. I believe they could be more creative about that. Anyways whole collection can be seen at Click Here (www.asa-onlineshop.de) (they have an online shop but they ship to Germany only) These cups (both cappuccino and espresso ones) are my new favorite cups.

PS. I'd love to see a version of these cups with 2 handles, like illy alien cups. Yeah I know the idea belongs to David Byrne and illy but Asa cups' handle design could make it look more interesting =)

Buying Experience

Bought at Esse Outlet Shop (Turkey), price per cup changing between 13$-15$ (in online shop/Germany 5,90-7,50) these ones didn't have saucers so I paid 3$ per cup, which is great for me cos I don't like using saucers so mine are piling at a corner all forgotten   =)
