Great little roaster. I started with this, and learned how to watch the coffee as it was roasted to learn the process. The new design of the roaster is made from metal, and doesn't melt, or fall apart like the old ones. Take my advice, and get an extra roasting chamber from Coffee Bean Corral, and an extra chaff collector. This way, you can keep right on roasting while the other one is cooling. I can make about 6 1/3 cup batches in about 45 minutes, that way. The roasting chambers are larger than the old ones, but don't roast more than 1/3 cup. You'll keep a more even roast, and it won't take as long to roast a batch. When I'm roasting, I like to tilt the machine on a small block of wood, just to help with the circulation of the beans.
Buying Experience
The experience was great. It came with a sample of 8- 1/2 lb. bags of different coffees, and I was sent tracking emails, and everything. Great company to deal with.
