Great roaster! For small volumes, you'll never have to upgrade.
Positive Product Points
Easy to use and simple to make the roast longer, too! Affordable and durable.
Negative Product Points
Roast too quickly and very small batches.
Detailed Commentary
This is the first roaster I've used, so I've really got nothing to compare it to. It's super easy to use. Just put some beans in, turn it on, wait until they're at the level of roast you like, and set it to cool. It can be made a bit more complicated if you want a really good roast. You just wait until first crack is finished, set it to cool for 30 seconds and then turn it back on until you've achieved the degree of roast you like. The only thing that bothers me about this roaster is that it roasts in such small batches. I go through a lot of coffee. I'm really passionate about making great espresso drinks, but not so passionate about roasting. I roast because it's cheaper and because I want quality fresh roasted beans that I can't buy where I live. I don't like spending time roasting, so it would be nice if I could just do one ten minute roast and have that last me 5 days. I think that's a pretty small thing to complain about, though, in the grand scheme of things. This roaster is a great price, and I may never need to upgrade.
