Extremely easy to use.  There is nothing to it.  It takes about 5 minutes.  There is a nifty chaff catcher on the top so there isn't chaff flying about the kitchen while the coffee roasts.  Hardly any cleanup at all, just brush the chaff out with a washcloth and wipe out the roaster when it cools off.

Only problem that I've really noticed is that the bottom metal plate of the roasting chamber warped a little after 4 consecutive roasts.  I suppose it needs to cool down between roasts.

I had never roasted green coffee beans before I received the Freshroast as a gift.  It was kind of on a whim that a friend gave it to me and I think they were shocked to find out that I've become addicted to it!  It is so easy to use and the difference between store-bought roasted beans and the ones that I roast at home is incredible.  But back to the actual machine:  Easy to use.  Small, fits on my countertop and I can put it away in a cupboard when it is not being used.  There is little cleanup and it doesn't make a mess.  Like I said, I'm a novice at this and the Freshroast made it into a no-brainer.  It has one controll button, that's it.  You just turn the knob and watch the coffee roast.  It takes about five minutes depending on the bean.

I really don't have any buying experience with this product because it was a gift.
