Quality of bang bar - not strong enough

Detailed Commentary

First purchased this product as it looked great... bought the red colour as it matched my kitchen as well.  Must admit that the size was compact so it did not take up much space on my benchtop at all.  However, because it is so compact, it does fill up quite quickly and if you are a compulsive coffee drinker (like myself) then it fills too quickly and needs constant emptying... fine if you like to do this regularly but I don't (maybe I'm  lazier!!).

I am not an overly strong person but after the first few months of using... the bang bar snapped in half.  Considering the price I paid  I felt it was not worth the money and expected it to survive much longer.  However, to be fair... I also had another... a Sunbeam brand with a wooden bang bar which also broke within a few months as well.  Have since purchased an alternative & better Australian made product with a steel bang bar.... absolutely brilliant!!

Buying Experience

Purchased this item in a homewares store so no shipping involved... but as I didn't have the receipt it was difficult to return for replacement.
