Bottom Line: IR2 is a great option to introduce the domestic coffee afficionado to the benefits of home roasting. It is efficient, safe and effective in turning those useless green beans into something of magic. Beware if you live in a cold climate however.

Rating: 7.2
Bottom Line: Produces a good roast very quickly. If you're into programming speacial roasting curves, be warned: Programming this unit is far worse then it was setting the time on your VCR in the 1980's! Ha!

Bottom Line: In my opinion, highly recommended. Of course, if your budget allows for 500$ or more, this is another story. But at that price it seems like the best choice, given that nothing is perfect...
