- Overheats like crazy - Low roast capacity (1/4 pound max) - Must wait three(ish) hours between roasts
Detailed Commentary
I got this machine as my first roaster a year and a half ago, graduating from my popcorn popper. I think it would have been better to just stick with the popper.
This machine will turn itself off if it gets too hot. The more I used it, the more often it would over heat. Additionally, it produces a lot of smoke. Not so bad, but it set of my smoke detectors even if I ran it under my range hood. I had an elaborate setup to contain the smoke, but since you have to wait at least a few hours between roasts (or it WILL overheat), I have to distribute the smaller roasts throughout the week, which is very inconvenient.
