I use this product every day. It does a good job, but sometimes the roast gets too hot and smokes. Thanks to this website, I now understand that during the final stage of roasting when you see the coffee getting to the right color roast, you can simply hit the 'Cool" button and stop the roasting. I didn't realize that before. Who ever provided that advice ( can't remember ), thank-you , thank-you, thank-you very much! The unit is a bit noisy as others have pointed out, but not a big deal. If you roast inside the house, you certainly want to place this unit near the stove vent so that the smoke can be exhausted out of the house. Roasting smoke smells good at first, but takes on a rancid smell after awhile. You do get a vent attachment that will let you attach a dryer type hose.

I continue to use this almost daily, no problem with the exception that it roasts too quickly even on preset 1 and I have to manually watch the roast and hit the cool button about 2-3 minutes before the roast time is scheduled to end.
