Detailed Commentary

I bought this bottle on sale at a department store for $30 (I think retail is around $40).  It has a 5-year warranty and is marketed as "Virtually Indestrucible."  We'll see about that!  But it does seem sturdy and it holds heat very well.  As I recall, the temperature retention after 6 hours is listed at 167F from a starting point of 203F if the bottle is kept at 68F.  That's still plenty hot for me.  Granted, after 6 hours, even though your coffee might be hot, the flavor/aroma is far from optimum.  I don't think any bottle can negate this problem.  It can also be used to keep soups, hot chocolate, etc. hot for hours.  The lid is nice because there are no valve components to wear out and/or leak.  And it looks pretty cool, too.
