I found you need a full 120 volts for proper operation. I had the 120 volt ac on and could not get a dark roast. After turnig ac off, I could get any type of dark roast I wanted. Unit is large, an takes up a lot of space on my small counter but not overly bulky .
Detailed Commentary
Overall a good machine. Im not an expert but it makes a really good tasting coffee in the style i like, city+-french roast. A little on the noisy side but not a prob. Little to no smoke at all so no prob with indoor roasting. Unit comes with a vcr tape and a pound of Breakfast blend, green coffee beans. I have heard the customer service cant be beat, the best in the business. Only thing for me is that my hearing is not up to par, and Im not able to hear the crack stages so I go by the color of beans , It works for me. Im sure after some more use Ill be able to set the timer and get consistant roasts every time.
