Detailed Commentary
Great buying experience from 1st line and received it on time. This machine is really heavy, looks and feels commercial. This machine can be left on throughout the day, automatically fills the boiler, will shut off if the water gets low, has a boiler pressure gauge, really large water reservoir with easy access lid and shut off valve so you can remove the water reservoir when cleaning. This machine has a swivel steam wand and stationary hot water dispenser. Produces a lot of steam and recommend a 2 hole steam tip. The hot water dispenser produces very hot water, draws water from the bottom of the boiler and requires less than a minute of recovery time. This machine has the convenience of being able to pull cup after cup of espresso and go directly to steam and back. The cup warmer is passive and keeps the cups warm or hot if left on for a couple hours. Softened water or bottled water are strongly recommended to prevent limescale buildup. You can't use any descaling agent on this machine similar to any commercial machine so prevention is your best bet. The automatic programming of this machine is set up with coffee in the filter basket and is great for ensuring a consistent volume of water when selecting a single or double shot. The drip tray is pretty big and note my machine didn't say made in Italy on the front like the picture, just so you know. The filter baskets fit very tite in the group handle and will require a screwdriver to change the filter. The pump is loud to me but I can't compare to any other machine. The machine makes a low click sound when the boiler reaches the proper pressure and this will repeat every few minutes or so if left on. This machine is pretty particular about the grind so a good grinder is a must. The amount of coffee used is equally important, usually level with the top of the basket with a 30lb tamp is a good start. I have been very happy with this machine. This machine will take some time getting used to but the reward is great.
