Very poor quality control and lack of customer service from Breville. Doesn't seem to be a quality product.
Positive Product Points
Great crema, easy to use, tank fills from the front, built in timer for morning espresso
Negative Product Points
TERRIBLE quality issues. The first machine lasted one month. ERR1 code came on; after call to Breville, I was told it had to be replaced. Replacement machine lasted 3 weeks before ERR1 code again. Third machine did not build pressure; fourth machine also did not build pressure. Sur La Table was terrific. I have gotten a refund, and will once again buy an Italian machine.
Detailed Commentary
It's a terrific looking, easy to use home machine, but there are serious quality control problems. After trying 4 machines in less than 3 months, I have given up. The machines do not seem to be tested before they leave the factory in China, so you might have the same problems. If they can overcome these issues, then the Breville dual boiler would be worth considering again. Whether they wlll have a long life remains a question. I have previously owned the Silvia by Rancilio and the Livia by Pasquini, and both of these worked for years and years without a problem.
