i was hesitant at first because its competition in this case was a vibiemme domobar and an ecm giotto, but after playing around with it on a trial period i quickly discovered it easily kept pace with the two big brothers. it is both willing and capable, without being overly tempremental.
the start up time is quick, buttons and valves dont feel like they will break off in your hand.the whole machine has a presence on the bench top that is not easily replicated, . this machine is built to do a job and everything is designed for that purpose only,so everything from the steam arm to the water tap is exactly where you expect it to be.
it took me a while to get used to the e-61 type head and the way it gradually applies pressure to the coffee bed, and found i needed to adjust my tamping style, being more precise around the edges of the bed to avoid any channelling down the sides.
steam pressure is awesome, and does not take long to recover even after making a number of drings one after the other.
with a bit of care and a good maintainance schedule it will serve you well for life!
