This machine is to replace the Silvia I had for 3 weeks (they still take it back up to 30 days) .. It is night and day between this machine and a Silvia .. (no comparison) I would recommend you just get a Starbucks machine if you are considering the Silvia.. (check craigslist) If you want really really good quality go with this machine! This machine is a beast. It weighs a lot and takes up a ton of counter space. It is big for a reason... its good. Don't be fooled with the PID temp surfing hype.. The reason you have to add a PID is because the machine is not made for what you want. This machine does not need a PID and it is perfect. Make a 20 ounce Americano with a Silvia and it will be luke warm. They are good machines but not really made to the specs of the Expobar.
