Detailed Commentary
I bought the Duetto after much searching and reading , I could not be happier , The quality of the shots is just to die for , the build is an engineer's dream , reliability is outstanding ,,with Chris Coffee backing the product ,- ,I have no concerns or worries- the E61 needs no further laurels ,,the rotary pump ,,well what else might you want? The stainless is thick gauge ,,If i would want an improvement would be to make the water tank larger
Early on I had one issue with the unit , the steam valve would stay seated somehow ,,, the teflon seal would stay stuck to the seat so that no steam would be coming out of the wand, Chris coffee had a new valve ( a complete valve ,stem handle ,knob ,to boot not just the teflon) to me in 48 hours ,,a quick removal and replacement with an open spanner and """voilla """
Buying Experience
Chris coffee is the place to buy from ,, I mean it just close one's eyes and just trust these guys ,,I live in Montreal 3 hours from Albany and the service is faster and better from them than any local vendor .
Three Month Followup
The Duetto is still performing flawlessly,,just keep using it- back-flush regularly and no worries ,, the temperature stability is noticeable in every shot ,,I usually run water to flush the E61 ,,but I suspect that is not needed since flashing never occurs ,, I also save cash since the steam boiler is hardly used except when guests arrive ,, one word about guests; they know why they come !!!
would I buy again ??? ABSOLUTELY!!
Now that upgrade fever is hitting ,, I will upgrade from my Mazzer Mini ,, guess where that money is being spent?? I will dig into my Canadain bank account ,, convert to US funds and plan a pilgrimage to Albany NY to see Chris Nachtrieb ,, and take it back duty free ..

One Year Followup
The Duetto is still performing flawlessly,,just keep it clean & it purrs ,, ,,one problem only -the extraction is so good ,,it makes me want to try and get it even better ,,,I am now dreaming of something with a bigger boiler for even more thermal mass ,, does Izzo make a larger boiler on the extraction side with the group directly on the boiler ? You say i need a LaMarzocco ??
