Pasquini Livia 90 is to Jeep CJ as La Cimbali Junior D is to HUMMER. While the Livia 90 may get you where you want to go, the La Cimbali gets you there with more confidence and in stlye. Having actually upgraded from a Jeep to a Hummer and from the Livia 90 to the Cimbali, I feel this is the perfect analogy.
Negative Product Points
Instructions are a little weak. The instructions say that if the machine is left on for more than 8 hours without use , to dispense 1 liter of water the from hot water wand and to allow steam for flow for 1 minute but doesn't explain why.
Detailed Commentary
The La Cimbali is the brand of machine I see all over town in the restaurants and coffee shops that my company services with water filtration. I recently sold my Pasquini Livia 90 and purchased the La Cimbali D. There really is no comparison. The Pasquini is what it is and is worth the $1000 price tag and dido for the Cimbali at three times the cost.
The cost diffence is almost worth being able to hard plumb the Cimbail to a water supply and drain. I take the Cimbali for granted now but I remember what a pain it was to drain the small drip on the Pasquini and to have to constantly refill the water tank.
