Detailed Commentary
I bought my S1 after some extensive research and advice from some of the best in the business. I have no experience with espresso and I was intimidated by all of the science behind the art of coffee. I either underestimated my abilities, or bought the best machine available, because I am pulling the most awesome espresso shots right in my own kitchen.
I wanted a machine that could handle a house full of guests and not let me down. I settled on this double boiler unit for its quick recovery times. I received my machine and grinder just in time for my big superbowl party and brought in a couple of gals from a local barista to coffee bar tend. No disrespect to Peyton Manning, but the S1 was definately voted the SuperBowl MVP at my party. It handled my crowd of 60 without a whimper. I am very impressed with this machine and received lots of compliments on the coffee bar.
It seems my daily needs will create no problem for this beast. I can froth milk like a pro and with a good roast, can match or even outperform our local coffee shops.
