I have the Mini Vivaldi II, but didn't see a review space for that. So its basically the same machine, but with upgrades
My 3rd espresso machine. Thoroughly excellent, albeit not flawless. But I'd buy again in a heartbeat, if I don't actually get a Pro LM next which is most likely
Milk steaming is professional level. Shot Temperature control is great. Though a flush is necessary, it beats the heck out of the HX water dance
Negative Product Points
Minorly, I don't find it all that attractive - I'm more of a big hunk of stainless guy. But people can decide that for themselves
Programming is better than the S1 by accounts, but still has room for improvement.
I don't think I like 53mm baskets. I think the height is more prone to channeling. On the plus side, it really forces you to get your tamping perfect...
Detailed Commentary
Great Machine at its price point (as I said above I have the unplumbed version of the II). I was waiting for the GS3, but when they announced the silly price I went for this instead, and don't regret it.
Milk steaming is simply amazing. Though harder than with a weaker machine, as you have only seconds to get things right. On the other hand, your drink is ready in seconds.
I bought the pre-infuser and installed it myself, which I think is worthwhile, but it's early days.
Chris Coffee has been consistently a pleasure to deal with.
I do think I'd like it better if it had a 58mm basket, but I may be wrong.
Bottom line, its superb and you won't regret buying it. Even if like me you have the idea of building a kitchen around an LM down the road.
