I LOVE the Vivaldi II. I upgraded from a PID'd Silvia and life is so much easier! The espresso shots are gorgeous with lots of crema and oh...the steaming! This machine produces silky microfoam in seconds.
The machine is very easy to use and without much of a learning curve. I make multiple back-to-back milk drinks and this machine can really keep up.
Also, if you're on the fence about plumbing in, do it! What a life-changer and the parts supplied by Chris' Coffee make it quick and easy.
The warming tray is also excellent. I keep a folded towel over the cups and they're so warm that I can now skip the step of filling them with hot water.
Buying Experience
The staff at Chris' Coffee are wonderful. Jason, one of their service people, answered endless questions about plumbing in the machine and even talked to someone at my local hardware store to help me select the right parts.
Three Month Followup
Still works beautifully! Delicious espresso-based drinks! My only complaint is that the steam wand leaks a little bit from time to time, requiring tightening of the bolt on the wand. Other than that, it's a perfect machine!
