"volumetric dosing" is done by time and not particularly useful not classic looking but also does not dominate your kitchen.
Detailed Commentary
15 months with no problems or issues. Easy to clean. Keep it clean and the espresso is great with good beans. They give you extra screens, so that you can change them frequently and don't have to do major cleaning very ofter. I don't backflush the unit but just clean everything out and change screens every two weeks or so. The pre-infusion is worth the investment. Excellent crema and very consistent drinks. With normal usage 2-3 cups per day, the tank will last 4 or 5 days. Have never over filled the tray. Don't use it for hot water so that makes the tank last a lot longer. The machine needs at least 30 minutes to warm up before you can pull a good shot. Warmer on top seems to do a good job.
Buying Experience
Chris's Coffee was great. Shipped quickly with modifications made. Did not like the newer cigar shaped portafilter handles. They exchanged for free for the older ones. Good pre-sales advice and are very knowledgeable.
