Bottom Line: Solid, reliable, consistent, very safe for infrequent and non-expert users
Positive Product Points

Highly consistent, can run on standard outlet, large warming area on top, once dosage / shot volume buttons have been setup it can be easily operated by almost anyone without worry

Negative Product Points

Drip tray fit could be improved, timer option is much appreciated but feels like a hack (you get a box on a dangling wire)

Detailed Commentary

A very solid twin boiler machine.  The option to run in "economy" mode such that it can be used with a standard household electrical outlet is very welcome.  Generally very quiet when idling - it tops up the second boiler every couple of minutes but the pumps are not excessively loud.  The tank is large enough for a couple of days of decent use and is easy to replenish.  I opted for the extra timer option, which is a small box on a dangling wire that can turn the machine on and off at set times each day (can be different each day too).  I would recommend this option, its very pleasing to have the machine ready and waiting in the morning, although the box doesn't have an obvious home - you end up stashing it behind the machine.  I also opted for the pre-infusion chamber that Chris Coffee offer, which I would say improves non-expert usage of the machine considerably (if your friend / spouse / housemate is not fastidious about the correct amount of coffee or tamping it down).  There are three buttons on the front you generally use, including one for boiling water, which is perfect for tea making.  The other two are for one or two-shot group heads, and you customise these to deliver the volume of coffee you prefer - this makes it a very safe machine to leave others to use, the machine shuts off when it has delivered the calibrated amount.

All in all, an excellent choice.

Buying Experience

After reading reviews here I went with the Chris Coffee service, which has been a very smooth experience.  They thought of almost everything and took me through the options.  The only thing they missed was setting up the dose / volume profile for the 2-shot head, which confused me; but it was straightened out within about 30 seconds of calling them up - you just need to enter the setup mode and run the shot for as long as you prefer and the button remembers it.
