Bottom Line: What a new begining it was when I purchased my first Espresso machine, especially a Livia 90
Positive Product Points

It's great to own such a great espresso machine. I would of never known how much of an Art espresso making is. Believe me when I say it's an Art. The Livia 90 doesn't take long to warm up for the first shot and to froth the milk. The 3x basket is a plus to be able to use with the stock Porta Filter. You can also froth milk and pull a shot at the same time.

Negative Product Points

The drip tray is still the only flaw I have yet to find on the design of the Livia 90.

Detailed Commentary

Don't give up Grasshopper, soon the stars will shine on your Espresso Shots like never before. First, you must invision the road to Espresso happiness. Second, you must believe and never quit. Third and finally, you'll be able to make any Espresso drink and new and old friends will always stop for just one more cup.  :-) The most difficult time I had experianced was learning how to froth the milk. At first, I always seemed to over heat the milk or the milk would splash all over the place. As time went on with afew gallons of milk, the frthing started becoming easier. Now it's so easy. The second most difficult lesson I had was pulling a good shot. Learning new techniques on how to use the tamper properly, how much grounds to use, the freshness of the coffee, water temperature and even what basket to use. Yes, I still believe the frothing of the milk was more difficult. Maybe it's because it was something so simple to achieve yet  I made it too complex. If your're still not sure on what to do or how to do it, just ask the question In the Forum Section and someone will be more than happy to help out.

Buying Experience

I was very excited  going to Pasquini's in LA for the very first time. The Pasquini's are very friendly and very professional as equally are all their employees.  The Livia 90 and Moka Grinder I purchased will always be a purchase that I'll never regret.

Three Month Followup

The Livia 90 just keeps on working with no problems. I do believe that using RO-DI water helps to prevent build up inside the boiler. I know some people prefer to not use such a purified water thinking that it will change the taste of the coffee. That's OK. Do what ever satisfies your fancy.  For me, I'll focus on the true taste of the coffee with RO-DI water and extend the life of my Livia 90.

One Year Followup

The Livia 90 still keeps pumping out great shots after all these years. I did have one problem with the livia 90. It was a controller inside the unit which tells the water to shut off when the brew switch is turned to the off position. I do beleive this part failed do to my multiple obsessive cleanings of the group head , turning off and on the brew switch too many times in a short period of time. (10x in 30sec.) Other than the normal group head gasket wear, I am very happy with this Livia 90, especially when Mr. Pasquini was the previous owner of my Livia 90 and Moka grinder. Thank you Mr. Pasquini and Sergio for all your help.
