Nice stainless steel body and frame so it looks very nice on the counter. Pump is extremely quiet when the machine is operational.

Parts don't seem to last long. Needs repair often.
Detailed Commentary
I bought the Quickmill Vetrano after much research and the great reviews it received on various coffee forums. I have had my machine for just over 3 years (purchase Aug 2007) and it has been returned twice and is currently not operational. It is hooked-up to a Flo-jet pump (works really well!) and RO bottled water. I follow all of the maintenance recommendations to the letter. It gets light use; only 2-4 cups of espresso per day. When working, the machine makes a great cup of espresso. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than great since my machine had a part fail in the first nine months which required a trip back to the vendor for warranty repair of a faulty valve (you still pay for shipping but repair is no cost). A second repair this July was more costly (several hundred dollars) as a pump failed making it inoperable. Now in October, the machine cannot maintain pressure and needs a third repair. Based on the previous Vetrano reviews, in which others indicate no problems, I would say that my particular machine is lemon. As a final point, unless you live very close to Chris’ Coffee Service, note that shipping and insurance for something that weighs nearly 70 lb is not inexpensive – from Michigan, it is about $80 round trip. If you buy this machine, save the shipping container as you may need it. I hope that you have better luck than I have had, because when it is working it is wonderful!
Buying Experience
My buying experience was mostly good. Chris was really quick to answer questions I had about how to run the machine from bottled water vs. directly plumbing to my house water. Mary was very helpful in the ordering process, although, my initial quote did not have the Mazzer Mini E grinder that I requested so it had to be ordered separately and I had requested the Sirai Stat Upgrade and that was missing as well. Shipping was prompt. Check your quote carefully and make sure that all items you have requested are listed. Everyone I spoke with was very nice, friendly and helpful.
