Looks that will turn heads in your kitchen. Easy to operate and to clean. Nice quality feeling.
Negative Product Points
I might have paid a bit more than what its worth on the market but then, I bought it locally and I expect service to be top notch.
Detailed Commentary
This machine was recommended to me by the people at Mali espresso shop in Montreal; my budget was around $1000 US and my main concern was top home espresso shots. And it does just that ! The massive e-61 group is long to heat up but whoaw ! when its ready, just don't put your finger on it; it will burn you good. fantastic espresso shots, restaurant quality. Coffee grind is quintessential. I will need to upgrade my grinder to obtain a super fine coffee texture. What a change from my Saeco Bianco aroma with the pressurized handle; crema was more like a frotty, bubbly stuff; now its real coffee essence. As for the water tank, it seems a bit small for such a big machine but the nice feature is the weight pressure trigger that protects your investment. If your tank is empty, your pump does not work; simply genious.
I'll definitely post a follow up in 3 months for any interested buyers. Now I can enjoy REAL shots.
Buying Experience
numero uno; people at Mali plugged the machine in, made sure it was working fine and we enjoyed the first espresso shots on the spot
Three Month Followup
Still love the machine but major drawback: you have to let the machine warm up for at least 45 minutes before pulling great shots.
One Year Followup
recently had a major bug with pressure system; had to return to point of sale; they repaired no charge but that scares me long term ... also note that it is very hard to find the EXACT grind of coffee to fit this machine. I don't think I would buy this machine again ...
