Detailed Commentary
I bought this about two years ago for something like CAD450. It suddenly stopped heating last week. I took it back to Morala Trading in Ottawa and they swiftly (next day) repaired it at a cost of CAD135. He said the boiler top, o-ring and (I think he said) rheostat had to be replaced. My view is that, after only a couple of years, this breakdown is unacceptable. I am inclined to not send good money after bad and not ransom it. So, all of you out there who are thinking of getting one of these, my advice is get something else.
Buying Experience
I would have preferred it if Morala Trading (Ottawa) had given me an estimate before going ahead and doing the work.
Three Month Followup
No change -- never saw the thing or heard from Morala again. Still sorry I bought it. Should have got another Breville instead.
