Detailed Commentary
The use: I have owned this machine a little less than a year, and it’s a daily pleasure to use and watch. The espressos are consistent in temperature and it delivers thick crema, once you get the grind and tamp right (like on most machines) The steamer is a pleasure to use as well, once it is heated it goes on an on. The shifting between hot water and steam is the normal single boiler system, wait app. one minute for the steam, and when you have steamed your lattes, switch the steam off and prime the boiler – fast and easy.
The looks: I like it! I have previously owned lots of different machines, among others an E61; which has a visible chrome brewing group, and looks like the front end of a Harley. And if you like a Harley in your kitchen, that’s great. This machine is design; it has style, curves and class.
