Positive Product Points

This review is mostly in response to the user "No Name" with a rating of 1 and an explanation to the problems that he was facing, his review directly below.

Just to note this coffee machine love super fine ground coffee for best results, the pump take it's like a champ.

Negative Product Points

This review is mostly in response to the user "No Name" with a rating of 1 and an explanation to the problems that he was facing, his review directly below.

About 4 years ago the steam knob eventually broke because it's so stiff, used Kneed it for repair, seems to have been permanently fixed.

Detailed Commentary

I'm partially writing an additional review, I would like to edit my old one but have since lost my credentials. You can read that for my other comments on this machine.

This review is mostly in response to the user "No Name" with a rating of 1 and an explanation to the problems that he was facing, his review directly below.

"There is only one thing you need to know about this machine--MADE IN CHINA.
I just wanted to post this to let everyone out there know what crap this thing is.  I have used it daily for 2 years.  It has been plagued with electrical problems...stops working randomly, shorts out, electrocutes me...  More irritating is it leaks water in such a way that it drips into your brewed espresso in such a way that you cannot stop it.  After 2 years of suffering, I finally broke the anti-tamper screws on it and opened it up.  Every screw was rusted, there was standing water inside the electrical compartment and much of the cheap plastic and most of the seals were hard or cracked or completely gone."

Well actually there is only on thing you really need to know about that review and that's for the most part it is moronic.

I had the same dripping through the bottom problem, but immediately stopped using it at that point. After all a normal person can assess that it shouldn't do that & it's common knowledge that water and electronics don't like each other.

I popped the top cover off to see what had happened. The main feed pipe coming from the pump had partially burst off the heater block. Fortunately to due to the design it's actually very hard for water to reach electronics. Only an imbecile that continually used it in this state causing water to condense elsewhere could cause a problem.

Another great part of the design is it's easy to put the pipe back, just a philips screw driver was needed.

I later found out why the pipe came loose, poor cleaning maintenance of the foaming wand, my fault, as it was his. If the wand is fairly blocked, as in you can notice it's foaming poorly, the huge italian made pump builds up so much pressure that eventually the pipe bursts partially off.

5 years now putting clean water through the wand after frothing and not a single problem.

Buying Experience

TradeMe is an excellent source. Original owners did well in describing the condition of the coffee machine
