Performs well for the price, but the coffee produced is watery and not strong enough for my liking.
Positive Product Points
Easy to use Easy to clean
Negative Product Points
If using non-Breville made grinders, getting the grind right can be frustrating. The filter holder is a bit flimsy in that the plastic bit that holds the filter in place is all the time coming off. Coffee a bit watery.
Detailed Commentary
I bought this a few years ago and have found it to be pretty good for a cheap, benchtop espresso machine. Originally I had a non-Breville grinder and had problems getting the grind right and eventually had to fork out a few more dollars for the Breville model which solved the grind issue.
I've used it practically every day since I bought it and have found it perfect for that quick caffeine hit in the morning. It is pretty good quality for the price but if you're a stickler for cafe quality coffee, you won't get it with this machine - the end result is a bit watery.
Buying Experience
I bought this in Australia at David Jones for $279.00
